January 2009. | F.O.L.W Tickets now on sale for the Danceathon. Tickets are now available at the office for £2.70. All payments must be made before taking to the floor. Please bring a dance partner this year and not just a bottle. In 2008 we faced issues when contestants refused to dance with strangers off of the street. However, we are pleased to say that the court case has been dropped with an undisclosed sum being paid in Woolworth vouchers to a Mr Plebship. We would like to wish him very well with the skin graph. If you wish to take part this year please pop into the school office or speak to a committee member. The evening starts at 7.30pm and ends when the last dancer collapses. Mrs Hawthornburg continued for three days and seven hours! PE and assembly had to be conducted around her tango and jive. Unfortunately Mrs Hawthornbury will not be able to attend this year but hopefully next year she shall be allowed once again out into the community. St Johns Ambulance shall be in attendence and all money raised will go towards glass being placed in the window frames of the infant block. | Away Football! Congratulations. Well done to our yr 5 football team who took part in a very important and exciting match with Turningtree youth hostel. The team started extremely well getting three goals in the first fifteen minutes. After the fifth causalty on the Little Weeping team, Turningtree managed to scrape ahead with a 10 goal lead. Well done team and we wish all the best to Heather Brookneed, Little Weepings player of the match, and look forward to seeing her back at school after her hip replacement. | House Activities. House activites were full of excitment this week with all houses being very enthusiastic in their competitive games. Van Hang took the competitive edge a little too far and when Eric Parsel and Maureen Dim were untied the five aside football game really took off. Parents are requested to label only their own childrens PE kits and not other childrens or indeed teachers kits. Special mention goes to Trollop house who with a resounding deficit in points on the games field bounced back amazingly with additional points being given to Erica Flipflop in the last minutes of the day. And we would also like to say a big thank you to Mr Flipflop for his kind donation towards the construction of a new gym complex and staff hot tub. |

Dart Meeting agenda |

|
Thursday, 26 February 2009 11:45 |
| On the 5th February the 'Clamp and Nipple' held their monthly darts team meeting. Derek Mucas passed a motion and was asked to leave. Doreen Dither declared her concern over subscriptions, which Maureen Plight stated was of no concern to Doreen and that her new patio was paid for by a lottery win. The agenda: - The plastic surgery required by a member of The Oak's team.
- The subsitution of Ms Globhit who was still under house arrest.
- The theft of three brass plates, two tables and a barmaid from The Oak. Members of the team are requested to return the items, especially the brass plates.
- Training and equipment. Maureen Plight suggested that the team acquire their own darts, as she thought it unprofessional to borrow the opposition teams. Thereby, enabling the team to practice when they find the dart board.

 | | On the 17th January at the Little Weeping village hall, the Friends of Alcoholics Exposed held their monthly coffee morning. Mrs Albert Pleb kindly brought her delightful homemade jam. Unfortunately, Miss Carol Davis had an allergic reaction and had to leave the coffee morning early via an ambulance. At which point Ms Plickingham-Fudge past a motion to make 'Get Well' cards at our next meeting. |

 | Colin and Sarah hit the heights With their third sell out show for the blind at Little Weeping village hall, Colin and Sarah are ready for their first real break, Tiptree! We spoke to Colin after the show. "Well, we were really happy with how the Little Weeping gig went. I mean, we followed the magician and he wasn't really appreciated by the audience. Mind you it wasn't until he asked for a volunteer that the audience knew he was on stage. That caused a couple of them to start, good job St Johns were there. Anyway, we came on and everything livened up really. They were all tapping their feet to the music and once we got them facing the stage we had them. We really enjoyed ourselves, Sarah danced with one of the helpers 'Sandy', who got a little excited and bit her. But you know thats the name of the game, the show must go on." Once out of hospital Sarah and Colin shall be back on the stage performing for their adoring audiences. Last night Sarah recuperating in hospital after her ordeal with 'Sandy' sent her love to all her fans who had sent her flowers since the incident. |
